Dear Families,

St. Mary’s family of schools, are you ready to be inspired? Join us at Holy Rosary Catholic School for a special event featuring Dr. Asa Ahimbisibwe, author of the moving and powerful book, “Hopeful” at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, April 4th.

Through his book and his work, he shines a light on the challenges facing children and families around the world, and the vital role that education plays in creating a brighter, more hopeful future.

At this special event, Dr. Ahimbisibwe will share his insights and experiences and engage in a thought-provoking conversation about the power of education.  You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, connect with other attendees, and learn more about how you can make a difference in the lives of children and families in our communities.

Reminder

Dear Parents/Guardians,
World Water Day is a global event celebrated each year on March 22nd. On this day, people around the world take action to conserve water, educate others, and celebrate this vital resource! This year, Monsignor Haller will be participating in a national day of action supported by EcoSchools Canada called The Great Gulp! On Wednesday March 22nd we will have a school-wide, synchronized drink of water from a reusable bottle. Through this simple action we hope to raise awareness about drinking water, access to safe and healthy water, and the importance of reducing single-use plastic waste.

Social Worker Appreciation Day!

Social Worker Appreciation Week!

The Staff and students at Monsignor Haller would like to take the opportunity, to say a huge THANK YOU to all our Social Workers!  Your contributions to our school community are often overlooked and understated, but we want to let you know, that your role on our team is valued!  Your commitment to our students when they are at their most vulnerable and your willingness to support the many adults in our buildings, demonstrate that you are here for us!  Knowing that someone like each of you are there to support us is reassuring and comforting.  Your role is vital to the success of our system, and we wanted to make sure, you know how thankful we are for YOU!

We are hoping you might be able to join us tonight virtually from 6 – 7 pm, and our hope is that this digital platform will make this meeting more accessible.

Looking forward to seeing you,

Gary Litschgy and Jesse Vokes
