This week we celebrated Bell Let’s Talk Day. This is an opportunity to explore mental health to end stigmas surrounding mental health/illness. As a school, we endeavour to keep these important conversations going throughout the school year. Sincere thank you to Steve Seftel, former Monsignor Haller student / retired NHL player and Mental Health advocate, for speaking with our Gr. 4-8 students and sharing his story.

Staff and Student Health & Safety ~ Self-screening continues to be an important component of keeping all staff and students safe. Families are reminded to complete the covid screener for each child and sign the attestation form every day. It is very important that anyone feeling ill should not attend school. A huge thank you to all our families who use the screener, follow the protocols, and sign the green verification form each day.

Temporary 2-week learning option ~ the next 2-week block begins on Monday, January 31 until Friday, February 11.  Please connect with your child(ren)’s teacher(s) today if you are choosing the online option.

Student Survey ~ Please see the link below regarding the upcoming Middle Years Development Instrument (MDI) survey that will be completed by our Gr. 4-8 students and students throughout WCDSB schools. This survey allows for student voice and provides staff insight into how our students are coping in our school community.

Kindergarten registration 2022– 2023 ~ happening now! No experience needed

Children born in 2018 are eligible for JK/Year 1 Kindergarten. Children born in 2017 are eligible for SK/Year 2 Kindergarten. (*You do NOT need to re-register if your child is already at Monsignor Haller.)

Once you have completed your online registration, please contact the Mrs. Neves at 519-579-1230 to complete the process.

Nutrition for Learning Toonie Cards ~ Families will be receiving Toonie cards this week in support of the Nutrition for Learning Program within our school community. The Toonie Card Campaign is a very important fundraiser and 100% of all funds raised with this Toonie Campaign will be applied directly to the Monsignor Haller Nutrition for Learning Program. Please return the Toonie Cards by Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Thank you so much!
