Good morning Hawks,

Stay dry today everyone!  If you are a walker or a driver, please come as close to the 8:50 bell as possible to reduce the number of students in the hallways etc if this rain continues.

Next week of the most Holy Week in the Catholic Church.  Our 40 days of Lent will come to a close as we relive the Passion Story and celebrate as a school the Stations of the Cross on Holy Thursday.  I would like to thank Mrs. Mikuljan and Miss Stevens for leading our school through the stations of the cross with their students.  This has been a powerful liturgy in the past and we know they will do a beautiful job virtually.

Lent is a beautiful way to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us and prepare us for the Easter season.  It is a time for us all to look beyond what we want or need, and to find ways to meet the needs of others, like Jesus did. Our Almsgiving initiative this year is in support of the homeless and more specifically A Better Tent City.  Thank you to the families who have donated toonies (or any donation – thank you!) this week.  We will be collecting until next Thursday.
