Good morning Hawks,
As we move further into the month of March we look forward to the signs of spring and continuing our journey through the liturgical season of Lent. Lent is a time of prayer and preparation for Easter, the holiest of the liturgical seasons. Students and families are encouraged to think about how they can prepare for this special time in our faith lives.
Get your boarding passes! Next week, the Hawk’s nest will take off for a VIRTUAL TRIP AROUND THE WORLD every afternoon at 2:30pm. Each day we will travel to a new destination complete with virtual tour, sightseeing, and of course, spiritwear! Check our our itinerary here:
COVID Protocol Updates:
A kind reminder to send multiple clean masks each day as students wear them all day long, including during physical education class and at recess. This week, we distributed 1 NEW mask to every student. Feedback from the kids say they are easy to wear because of the adjustable straps and are also easy to breathe in!
These are 3-ply cloth masks. They are all black and look the same so please find a way to label your child’s mask when it arrives home!
Please continue to remind your child to remain in their classroom cohort at all times and refrain from removing masks, touching other people and their things. Staff are frequently redirecting students who forget. Completion of the School Screening Self-Assessment is mandatory for your child each day before they come to school. Please find below the link to the 2021-2022 budget survey. The survey uses a tool called Thought Exchange to collect open ended thoughts/opinions on specific topics. There is also the ability to rate Thoughts of other participants. Participant names are not shown. This should take about 10 minutes or less to complete. This tool also has Google Translate available should stakeholders require a different language option.
There are 2 Thought Exchanges that you can participate in. You can choose to participate in one or both since they are not linked but are asking for feedback on 2 different questions.
The survey will be open until March 26th, 2021. The survey results will be made available after they have been presented to the Board’s Budget Advisory Committee.
- Understanding that the Board priorities are intended to support Graduation rates, Well-Being and Faith Formation. Please identify what you feel is the MOST important area for investment within the budget in order to achieve our priorities?

Stay Safe Hawks!
